The Children of Gods and Fighting Men is out on the 1st September 2022 – and I’m very excited!! One month to go.
I should note that in America and Canada the hardback book is out on the 1st November, although the e-book and audiobook will be available on the 1st September.

The Children of Gods and Fighting Men
This month has been fairly quiet as I was away with my family on holiday. This break was much needed as I’d been so busy in the previous months and I have a busy August coming up.
However, my big news was that I handed in The Words of Kings and Prophets (Book 2 of the Gael Song series) to my publisher at the end of June. This means that work has commenced on the third book in the series, which I’m very excited about.
I’ve also been asked to take part in a few podcasts, YouTube interviews, and Q&A blog posts over the next couple of months. So expect to see a bit more of me during August and September. I’ve also written an article for one of the major Irish newspapers which should be coming out in a few weeks.
I’ll announce anything I’m doing on twitter, but will also link articles/posts to my next newsletter/monthly blog post.
My blog tour will start at the end of August too – so keep your eyes peeled for book reviews on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. Lots of lovely reviews have come in so far on Netgalley and Goodreads – as well as lots of lovely author endorsements!
If you want to pre order, I’ve added a few links below, although you can also order from your local independent bookstore too.
In July, I read Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence, Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio and Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo. All three books are excellent and I’d highly recommend them.

I have also beta read a novel for a friend, which is absolutely excellent.
In August I hope to read The Liar’s Key by Mark Lawrence, In the Shadow of Lightning by Brian McClellan and Howling Dark by Christopher Ruocchio.
I will also be reading Badon Hill by I Anonymous, which is a self published historical fantasy and the sequel to Gurzil, which I read earlier in the year.
That’s all for this month. Short and sweet! But be prepared for a lot more content next month when my book is released!
