I don’t usually blog about my own books – I save that for my newsletter these days. However, seeing as it is release week, I thought I’d make an exception!
It’s been a wonderful week. I’ve had a book launch and a blog tour. I also went to visit my publisher and attended FantasyCon – where I was nominated for Best Newcomer at the British Fantasy Awards.
I didn’t win – but honestly, it was an honour to be nominated! And I had such fun meeting all the authors and fantasy fans who attended.
The audiobook is out today!! I’m very excited about this and will be listening to this myself. I really enjoyed Aoife McMahon’s narration for The Children of Gods and Fighting Men, so I can’t wait to see what she does with The Words of Kings and Prophets. There are also two new narrators this time, which is adding an extra layer of excitement.
It is now a week since the ebook and U.K./Europe hardback was released, and I’ve already reached over 100 Goodreads ratings.
Thanks to everyone who has already read and reviewed! It’s so important to leave a rating/short review as it helps with visibility – if you have read, it would be wonderful if you could leave one for me.
I also hit the Waterstones book charts. I’m currently number 7 in the ‘Myths and Legends’ hardback chart – right beside Tolkien which blows my mind!
There are some copies left of my special editions – which look incredible. Broken Binding haven’t advertised them yet, so if you want one, now is a good time to buy before they notify all their subscribers.
